Clearly, it was one of mine... to the extent that I wrote a new tool to manage the process of producing chains of patches that affect this kind of wholesale change. These series helped prove many of the ideas of what I am now calling Surpass (from the acronym: Surpass Usually Replaces Patch and Series Scripts). I will post a new thread shortly to outline my additional plans for using this new power tool on OpenOCD.
