What I needed on an Ubuntu 8.04 system was: - Install latest libftdi ... I used the GIT tree, post 0.16 - Before running configure: $ CFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include $ LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/lib $ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib $ export CFLAGS LDFLAGS LD_LIBRARY_PATH - Then configure: $ sh configure --enable-maintainer-mode --enable-ft2232_libftdi ... - At runtime, the LD_LIBRARY_PATH was needed in the environment.
