This may be a mismatch, but I do not think it matters.  I am testing
with 1.5.x here, which I think is the most commonly deployed version.
However, I just tested on Ubuntu Jaunty, which has libtool 2.2.6.

Does the output of the following commands match?

libtool --version
./libtool --version
