When I get something working I will submit it as well as my debugger and eclipse support.

I have made a debugger for mips but haven't put it on my web site. I am waiting to get my openocd implementation and need to test the debugger before I release it. The gcc that I have is missing newlib which I don't use anyhow, I don't like that bloated crap.
