No known regressions in performance or functionality as of writing in 1786 vs. 1606(before JTAG API rewrite).
If you have a problem with svn head that does not exist in 1606 I would very much like to hear from you on the list. Michael Fischer found an intermittent problem with dump_image on lpc2294, but after some more testing the dump_image instability appeared to be in both svn head and 1606.
