Well, I was not sure on how things are separated at the time I wrote this, but this is more to related to gdb, with gdbinit scripts for instance. Alan sent me something for i.MX31 last night and it answer nearly all my questions about this. I will try to use it with openOCD. However, if there is a good documentation on how to use gdb with openOCD or more generally about how to use gdb in an embedded debugging scenario, I would be happy to be pointed to them to be able to understand everything in this field.
