Thanks for the replies.

I'm already debugging/logging in my collector.  

I was hoping to avoid having to trace through collectd code.

Basically, my collection run works and I hand the set back to whoever
(whomever?) invokes me.  

After that, the data does not show up in the JRD files.

So, I'm trying to debug this crucial part.

collectd log does not show anyhing meaningful (at least to me).  There
is a note about "persisting data" for my XmpCollectionResource.

Does this help clarify the question?
