email problems - openmeetings

I have installed and configured Openmeetings for the first time. I setup my
Ubuntu box w/ Postfix relaying to Gmail - tested and works.
My invitations are not being sent from Openmeetings and I am also unable to
just directly email from the 'Contacts and Messages' screen. I see nothing
in my /var/log/mail.log when I attempt to do this. Where can I begin to
look to find my issue?
