Hi Joseph, to get the basic installation running all you need is to download unpack the ZIP and run it. There is actually not so much more that can be done to improve it.
To set up the a server with all 3th party components like FFMPEG, ImageMagick et cetera ... if you are not familiar with any of those tools I guess it will be difficult to install .. but I guess nothing on our list is kind of exotic theses days.
