Think about it, your webcam has a frame rate of 32 fps, it is about lets say roughly 124x86 pixels, you have 70KByte/sec. 1280x1024 at 32 FPS would mean, 700 KByte/sec => No chance to get that through the network. Currently Screensharing has around 90KByte/sec, which is often still too much, so there are those buttons to decrease the quality of the screen, that results in less Bandwidth (but hardly *text-on-screen* readable) screensharing. Also the ScreenSharingCodec works different from a usual codec, because of the nature of screen use. So if you have the time of course you are welcome to start testing, debugging and implementing sth alternative with better results but we also spend quite some time to get it at the current level.
