Plan B would be to access OI from another PC via ssh. Plan C would be to
get a cheap video card. Money's not really an issue but I would like to
keep my office cool in summer.
Plan D: run OI within a VirtualBox VM.
Configure the guest to use the vbox or vmware graphics controller.

I use vbox a lot but I'd rather it be "as well as" rather than "instead
of". vbox virtualisation is good but not perfect. I want full access to
the CPU which vbox doesn't give.
