I have noticed that VirtualBox 5.0.24 has a problem with sound. I know that someone has already reported this. But I have also noticed that when one choses the Host Audio Driver, it always defaults to the Null Audio Driver and this is exactly the reason why there is a problem with sound. Why this happens is something I do not know.
