The nice thing about it being a zone is you can look in to it from the
global zone and see what it's doing.
I would start by getting a list of the processes:
ps -fz newzone
Also, you might be able to zlogin (without -C) and do svcs -a to see
where startup has got to. The zlogin might not work if it hasn't got far
enough.
