This seems like quite a reasonable solution actually. And they go on, with
even more detailed solutions specifically crafted to deal with this issue.
Maybe best way IS ditching Yahoo and AOL.
One can always have another mail address and the rest of us can get our
mailing list back.
If Gmail does the same, I will also get new mail address.
Relying to Reply-To field is not good, because answers need to be
relayed to the list
and with that setting, mailing list will stop functioning if responses
are posted by mail clients to message authors and not to the list to get
distributed.
Also Senders are those that craft Reply-to field as they like while
sending messages to the lists
and not mailing list servers...
Someone worked very hard to kill mailing lists and NOT to provide valid
solution in time...
From field - however crafted, must include mail address of the sender
so people can contact him directly and not to kill mailing list at the
same time.
