Despite the name, java.net is a project hosting site, like sourceforge,
and is not limited to purely Java based technology. (That may have been
clearer when it was still called Kenai, but well, branding is out of our
control, and Sun was much worse at slapping the Java name on everything,
as users of the Java Desktop System may recall.)
