Thanks a lot for the quick replies. According to Update manager, my system is up to date, so it seems the latest fixes you mentioned did not make it (yet) into OpenIndiana. Is there a chance this will happen in the neat future?

ACPICA 20100915 isn't the latest version available at the moment (at least in illumos tree), which means that you are missing some fixes Gordon did.
