To the list; I have a nearly new laptop ( Dell ) and I am getting the no randomness provider error message when attempting to boot OI. I looked for the bug report and the fix and its part of Oracle bug for open solaris # 38. This report is not available from Oracle without an account and password. OI and Illumos mention the bug but there is no information on how to fix the problem. Could someone that has the open solaris report # 38 post it somewhere. Is this a fixed problem or not??? I understand that it was in a previous distribution of Open Solaris ( Nevada, ??? ). I did obtain a little background info from various sources but there seems to be lacking a solid response to this problem, this bug. Finally, how does one over come this problem. I have tried the options and it offers me a command line option but it only allows me to start with grub. Where should I go from there?
let me know if any of you have some answers. thanks ruser ***************** _______________________________________________ OpenIndiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss
