It doesn't. You can use smartctl -t long to have the disk do this on its own, 
but the way I understand ZFS, there's no way to have zfs/zpool check empty 
space.

I all pedagogikk er det essensielt at pensum presenteres intelligibelt. Det er 
et elementært imperativ for alle pedagoger å unngå eksessiv anvendelse av 
idiomer med fremmed opprinnelse. I de fleste tilfeller eksisterer adekvate og 
relevante synonymer på norsk.
