I tend to just change /etc/inittab to default to run level three.
You must be running some other OS then, since Solaris-based OS'es have always had a default runlevel of 3, and use SMF to control which services start. (Before SMF, the login GUI started at the end of run level 2 startup. The difference between 2 & 3 was remote services like http & nfs, there was no run-level for multi-user-without-X in Solaris.) -- -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersm...@oracle.com Oracle Solaris Platform Engineering: X Window System _______________________________________________ OpenIndiana-discuss mailing list OpenIndiana-discuss@openindiana.org http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss
