I've been playing with the OI (server, text mode) installer in vbox and
its proving a bit painful.

What I'd like to do is to install on one disk (happens to be an ssd)
which is partitioned so that I can boot from it, and have partitions for
ZIL and L2ARC.

I'm NOT an experienced admin (I'm a coder).

The partition editor in the server installer is rudimentarty and I'd
guess that's not news to anyone - it seems to offer wildly different
options depending on whether I'm 'whole disk' or a primary or secondary
partition - I got to a screen that offered slices at one point but I'm
not entirely sure how.

What I *think* I want to do is to install to whole disk and then slice
the disk so I have root, swap, and a couple more areas I can put the ZIL
and L2ARC on.

If that's not achievable I'll use Linux or a *bsd to create some
partitions and just go from there, but its not proving straightforward.
So far I managed to install to a partition but I haven't managed to
access the other partitions on my drive.

Is there an existing guide anywhere?

James
