yes, no_root_squash is a linux setting, it is what you achieve with root= in solaris. As far as i know id mapping (uid to uid) was not really necessary in nfs4 because nfs4 uses usernames instead of uids so it's just a matter of having the same users created everywhere no matter the uid.
