acceptable for kirkstone.

                    to 10:0:9 (libexpat*.so.1.9.0); see https://verbump.de/
                    for what these numbers do


I think you will have to carefully back-port the two CVE fixes.

It looks like Debian devs may have already  back-ported at least one of
these CVs to version 2.5.0-x
