The fix has not been released, but is merged into the develop branch on GitHub.

As you will have seen in this thread, SoftHSM2 contains a migration tool, that I tried to use. This attempt failed, because of a bug. So, I want to wait for a release that includes this fix, so that I can test the migration in a supported environment.

Our production system uses only released versions of the software. We want to test the migration in the same enviroment as our production system.

Which release are you lookiong at? The one from
<https://www.opendnssec.org/2015/07/softhsm-2-0-0/> says:
