This is a bad idea. I haven't looked to see if homebrew has a python package for OB3, but it would presumably use the homebrew version of python. pip3 is installing a completely different version of Open Babel. If homebrew doesn't have a Python package, you can compile the Python module from source (which I do, naturally) or use conda (which my group does).
