Indeed babel svgError.sdf svgError.svg --> Segmentation fault but babel svgError.sdf svgError2.sdf babel svgError2.sdf svgError2.svg begins to produce a svg file, atlhough babel keeps running. I would suggest to split your sdf file (babel -m) and try to see which molecule is source of the problem.
