The name OBRing _path suggests that it's a circular traversal around the ring, but the documentation doesn't formally say so. Are the atoms in a _path actually a traversal, or an unordered collection? It's not obvious from reading the code.
In other words, is there a bond between _path[n] and _path[n+1], and between _path[0] and _path[size-1]?
