I understand that you're upset. However, whe participation in this year's call for location was really low, and the only doable proposal has been in fact Paris.

So we had two choices:

1. Announcing at OOoCon that things will be delayed, which most likely had led to people being more confused and irritated in the current situation. In the end, we would have announced Paris nontheless, as ther had been nothing to vote on.

2. Announcing Paris directly, what we did.

I guess out of the available options, #2 had been the best choice.

When the native-lang communities make good proposals, we can vote on them, but we didn't receive much this year, although we asked for help several times...
