May I add that from the Airport to the first Metro the Bus 200E starts in front of the Airport (~every 10min), bringing you to the start of the blue Metro to city center. Changing at the Airport a small amount 20€/$ might help to get tickets for bus and metro. The best rate I found at cash office was 282/€ and 222/$ - no fixed costs. PS: If someone arrives this afternoon, there is a cheap bike rental 1052 Budapest, Váci utca 19-21, Millennium Center, who offers bikes for 2 hours for 3 Euro or (5h/5€) After the flight it was nice to have a ride at the Donau and through the city.
