*First Call*
Dear Colleagues, You are cordially invited to submit your chapter proposals for the second edition of my book, "Internet of Things A to Z: Technologies and Applications, Wiley-IEEE Press. *Introduction* The first edition of this book was published in 2018 with the aim of providing holistic and comprehensive material on the Internet of Things (IoT). This goal has been successfully accomplished, and the book has become a reference for various researchers and professional ICT practitioners. Some universities around the world, including those in Europe and North America, are also using this book as course material for several subjects. Today, six years after its publication, and with the continuous growth of IoT, it is imperative that the book be updated. Hence, the aim of this project is to refine the focus of the book and fill the gaps in the previous edition by including topics essential for a cohesive and timely understanding of the IoT. In this edition, special emphasis will be given to network technologies, security, AI, and big data analytics. New application domains will also be included. And finally, the content retained from the previous edition will be revised. - *DOI:* 10.1002/9781119456735 - *Book* *URL:* https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fonlinelibrary.wiley.com%2Fdoi%2Fbook%2F10.1002%2F9781119456735&data=05%7C02%7C%7Cd8f68e5350f44d5bda7b08dc52078d6b%7Ccc7df24760ce4a0f9d75704cf60efc64%7C0%7C0%7C638475439589962501%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=K5BQrtc8b9ma%2F8PO9emdru%2BoDiPX1JaJwyP%2BCw1lD7M%3D&reserved=0 - *CFC URL: * https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsites.google.com%2Fview%2Finternet-of-things-a-to-z-2%2Fhome&data=05%7C02%7C%7Cd8f68e5350f44d5bda7b08dc52078d6b%7Ccc7df24760ce4a0f9d75704cf60efc64%7C0%7C0%7C638475439589962501%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=OgmEOtJGZozEnb7hos2A3RSg6yDeWUd5LpWoeaaRfEc%3D&reserved=0 *Objectives* The project aims to: - Provide a comprehensive, 360-degree view of the IoT. - Fill the gaps identified in the first edition of the book and offer a more complete and up-to-date resource on the subject. - Cover IoT core concepts and enabling technologies. - Discuss key security issues and models. - Present a diverse array of IoT applications. - Offer tutorials on some of the common IoT platforms. *Publisher* Wiley IEEE Press <https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fieeexplore.ieee.org%2FXplorehelp%2Fbrowsing-ieee-xplore%2Fwiley-ieee-press&data=05%7C02%7C%7Cd8f68e5350f44d5bda7b08dc52078d6b%7Ccc7df24760ce4a0f9d75704cf60efc64%7C0%7C0%7C638475439589962501%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=t8UTfKzLn%2Fc%2F3KkCHBg6WYmT83uGBpHMmJK6wn6yBdE%3D&reserved=0> *Indexing* The book is indexed by IEEE (https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fieeexplore.ieee.org%2Fbook%2F8390726&data=05%7C02%7C%7Cd8f68e5350f44d5bda7b08dc52078d6b%7Ccc7df24760ce4a0f9d75704cf60efc64%7C0%7C0%7C638475439589962501%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=5FW7qHuSq90K7WkCVM4o7AKSmRJpxbjeb%2FkRGQW9uH8%3D&reserved=0) and its indexing partners ( https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fieeexplore.ieee.org%2FXplorehelp%2Foverview-of-ieee-xplore%2Fabout-content&data=05%7C02%7C%7Cd8f68e5350f44d5bda7b08dc52078d6b%7Ccc7df24760ce4a0f9d75704cf60efc64%7C0%7C0%7C638475439589962501%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=rvTauppyn1sGf7SY98axZTevhZPFa1YU1rEIJrk1NBU%3D&reserved=0 ) *Readership* This book is tailored for university students of advanced levels, academics, and researchers engaged in the study of IoT, computer science, networks and telecom engineering, distributed computing, applied sciences, and business innovation.
