Bug ID: 487992 Summary: Add an option to make highlighters sticky, instead of single-action Classification: Applications Product: okular Version: 23.08.5 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org Reporter: st...@kelem.net Target Milestone: --- *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY Make the highlighters "sticky" STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I highlight a lot of text, particularly when balancing my checkbook via bank statements. 2. You get to hightlight only once after clicking on a (yellow or green) highlighter. 3. OBSERVED RESULT After you highlight one item, the highlighter is de-selected, and Text Selection becomes selected, meaning you have to move the mouse over to select the highlighter again. EXPECTED RESULT It would be really productive if I could double-click the highlighter to have it remain active until either another tool is selected or I single-click the highlighter.
