In a terminal I use lpstat to view the printer status. It contains the print job without executing it. After opening a .jpg file with okular I can print it! Again using lpr ...pdf in a terminal I can print the same pdf which from okular won't print. This behaviour of okular is new, after I upgraded from leap 15.2 to leap 15.5 directly using a memory stick with the 15.5 version Thanks for your efforts!
