When reading a pdf document with some highlighter annotations, clicking on the
highlighted text does not show annotation. On further investigations I
discovered that I can see the annotation by clicking at the very left-hand side
of the highlighted text but it is very sensitive to the position of the mouse.
In addition once a highlighter annotation has been created, it is no longer
possible to delete it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Annotate a pdf document using the highlighter tool. Close the annotation
window.
2. Hover mouse over highlighted text. Right click on highlighted text.
3. Move mouse to extreme left-hand side of highlighted text, double click.
4. Save file, repeat 2 & 3.
OBSERVED RESULT
Annotation text does not pop up. Can't reopen annotation windows, no option to
delete annotation.
EXPECTED RESULT
Annotation text should pop up when mouse hovers over highlighted text.
Annotation window should be capable of being reopened. There should be an
option to delete annotation using left-hand mouse button. This what happened
when I was using Kubuntu 20.04.
