Hi, As of now, January 2019, Okular doesn't provide some basic features in it's search feature, one of them, the ability of search for whole words is lacking, this can be a problem when I'm searching for the string "a" on a huge text. Another one that has been requested on bugzilla, and I find it to be quite useful, even using evince sometimes to do this, is the ability to show on the sidebar every occurrence of the string, listed by page, with some details about it.
