Hi kamp, thanks for your comment. This past weekend the Okular team had a
meeting and we have decided to actually kill the docdata functionality, if the
user makes changes to a file he will get the choice to save them to an okular
archive, save them to the file (if the format supports writting (i.e. pdf)) or
discard the changes.
With that focus in mind your suggestion does not fit so i'm closing it.
