Sometimes with many pdfs open okular slows to a crawl. I looked at
.xsession-errors and there are many lines of the form:
okular(22047) Okular::TextPagePrivate::findTextInternalForward: "m"
it seems to be going through the pdfs letter by letter.
[u...@localhost ~]$ cat .xsession-errors | grep Okular::TextP | wc -l
1930863
