Frank Siegert <hugelm...@web.de> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |hugelm...@web.de Platform|Gentoo Packages |FreeBSD Ports --- Comment #8 from Frank Siegert <hugelmopf web de> 2010-10-31 09:51:49 --- Hi Albert and Pino, I think there was a misunderstanding: As Pino says, the previously chosen panel (i.e. also "none") should be restored upon reloading. But that's not what happens: If one hides the navigation panel altogether (using F7) and then reloads the document, then the navigation panel re-appears, even though it should remain hidden. In previous versions of Okular (I think with KDE SC <4.5) this would only happen the first time the file gets reloaded, and afterwards (i.e. after hiding the panel again) the panel remains hidden. But now with Okular 0.11.1 there is no way of leaving the panel hidden. So unfortunately the use case "Have slides open in Okular while writing them in Latex" is basically unusable right now (because the panel needs way too much of the in this case important horizontal space). Let me know if you can't reproduce this, or want a PDF file with which to test it.
