As a document viewer, it would make sense for Okular to support those file
types. File a feature request and I will vote for it.
It seems that the objection to .doc support is because it is a closed format. I
do not think that anti-MS ideology should drive KDE development, rather, KDE
should strive to make the best software possible even if that means supporting
evil closed formats that have already been reverse engineered by KDE's own
KOffice team.
