I will dig into it myself when I find time to (I don't know okular source code yet) as this is a really big problem for me. I think we can't blame drivers as intel and nvidia are used. And I know that it normaly works. On my old system it works and on my new laptop it does not. They both use the same distribution and the same graphics driver.
