Indonesia Stocks: Astra Agro, Charoen Pokphand, United Tractors By Berni Moestafa
July 23 (Bloomberg) -- Indonesia's Jakarta Composite index<http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/quote?ticker=JCI%3AIND>declined 0.77 points, or less than 0.1 percent, to 2,211.99 as of the noon local-time break. The following stocks are among the most active in the Indonesian market. Coal companies: PT Bumi Resources<http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/quote?ticker=BUMI%3AIJ>(BUMI IJ), Asia's largest thermal-coal exporter, fell 350 rupiah, or 5.5 percent, to 6,000. PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA IJ), the company that holds more than a quarter of Indonesia's coal reserves, retreated 350 rupiah, or 2.6 percent, to 13,100. Mining stocks led declines on the Jakarta Composite index today. A drop in oil reduced the allure of alternative fuels such as coal. Crude oil for August delivery fell 2.4 percent to $127.95 a barrel in New York yesterday, falling to a six-week low. Crude oil for September delivery was at $127.64 a barrel in after-hours trading at 1:23 p.m. Singapore time.
