Timah May Pay Up to 50% of Profit as Dividends, Daily Reports 2008-04-28 20:01 (New York) By Leony Aurora April 29 (Bloomberg) -- PT Timah plans to pay as much as 50 percent of last year's profit as dividends, Investor Daily Indonesia reported, citing Corporate Secretary Abrun Abubakar. The Indonesian company will seek shareholders' approval to pay between 1,418 rupiah and 1,773 rupiah a share in dividends, the newspaper said. Timah said on March 31 net income last year jumped more than eightfold to 1.78 trillion rupiah ($193 million), or 3,546 rupiah a share. The company is the world's second biggest tin miner and refiner.
