Japan stocks down 2 pct as exporters hit Sun Jan 27, 2008 8:11pm EST TOKYO, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Japanese stocks fell more than 2 percent on Monday, with exporters such as Canon Inc (7751.T: Quote, Profile, Research) under pressure after U.S. stocks sagged late last week, while investors turned cautious ahead of major events such as an expected Fed rate cut. As of 0106 GMT, the benchmark Nikkei average .N225 was down 2.1 percent or 289.46 points at 13,344.70. The broader TOPIX index shed 2 percent to 1,317.31. (Reporting by Aiko Hayashi)
