Seriously, I personally believe it is a logical option for both countries in the long run to re-unite, just a matter of time.
Currently all are face saving act, also kow towing to US interest and geo-politics for the moment Taiwan is for years the biggest investor in mainland China. To think on business sense, why should not they be? The synergy is just perfect..who wants war anyway? We all enjoy at the moment, the longest strecth of relative peace with out a major massive war since WW II. Perhaps that big picture make sense, no?
