Tuesday, 1 May 2007 11:28:36 StockWatch (Jakarta) - Retail company PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS) booked net profit of IDR16.979 billion (IDR2 per share) in the first quarter of 2007, rising very sharply by 140.89% from IDR40.901 billion (IDR6 per share) in the first quarter of 2006.
The net profit climbed up sharply on other revenues that reached IDR21.69 billion versus other expenses of IDR15.35 billion, which caused the rpe-tax profit to step up from IDR15.267 billion at IDR47.306 billion. However, the sales climbed up by only 0.91% at IDR839.314 billion from IDR831.671 billion whilst the cost of goods sold (COGS) increased from IDR622.091 billion to IDR623.450 billion and the gross profit stepped up at IDR215.864 billion from IDR209.58 billion.
