David JacksonChief Executive Officer Istithmar World Capital David Jackson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Istithmar World Capital in July 2006. In this capacity, he has overall responsibility for business initiated by Istithmar World Capital. He heads the firm's operations across its three core divisions: investment, finance and administration, and funding. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr. Jackson served as the first Chief Investment Officer of Istithmar World, where he led the creation of the initial portfolio of approximately US$2 billion and the implementation of the policies and procedures that provide the company its global investment network today. Before joining Istithmar World, Mr. Jackson spent over 10 years on Wall Street where he specialised in mergers and acquisitions, and worked with financial sponsors in leveraged buy out transactions. Mr. Jackson worked as an Associate, Vice President, and finally as a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers in New York and Hong Kong (1993-2001). He also served as a Partner at Marco Polo Partners in New York. Mr. Jackson holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Princeton University. Mr. Jackson is on the Board of Directors at Istithmar World, Dubai World, Ports & Free Zone World, and other portfolio companies of Istithmar World including Retailcorp LLC, Emirates National Securitization Corporation (ENSeC), Bank Muscat International and Loehmann's Holdings. In 2007, Private Equity International magazine included Mr. Jackson on its list of "50 Global Movers: the most influential people in global private equity." Go Figure.
