Chinese GDP Rises Further In Q3
Published: October 22, 2009 (CNN Money)- Thursday, the National Bureau of Statistics said that China's gross domestic product rose 8.9% year-on-year in the third quarter, faster than the 7.9% increase in the second quarter and the 6.1% increase in the first quarter. It came in roughly in line with forecasts for a 9% increase. In the January to September period, the GDP totaled CNY 21.78 trillion and was up 7.7% from the corresponding period of the previous year. For the same period, the GDP of primary industries climbed 4% from a year ago, while that of secondary and tertiary industries was up 7.5% and 8.8%, respectively
