Tradernya dow jones pada protes terhadap paket stimulus Obama yg dianggap membantu mereka yg berkelakuan buruk (tidak prudent), demikian yg disuarakan oleh reporter Rick Santelli dari CNBC. Mereka yg berkelakuan buruk maksudnya adalah mereka yg investasi rumah secara ugal-ugalan yg seperti biasanya didorong secara mata gelap oleh greed yg berasumsi harga rumah akan naik terus. Memang wajar trader pada protes sebab orang yg sengaja beli rumah gede yg tak mampu mereka danai (mirip dengan beli saham pakai margin besar), sekarang keenakan didukung paket stimulus obama. Sedang mereka yg berinvestasi secara prudent, hanya membeli rumah dengan dana yg mereka miliki (mirip dengan yg beli saham tanpa margin), tidak mendapat paket stimulus apa-apa alias gigit jari. Jadinya dow jones di dump. Mungkin kata si trader prudent, "kalau gua tau begitu, gua beli aja rumah segede istana, ntar kan di bail out sama obama. terus gua bisa jual rumahnya dapet untung berlipat-lipat tanpa perlu cape-cape belajar TA dan fundamental analysis :-)"

SANTELLI: The government is promoting bad behavior! How this, president and new administration, why didn't you put up a website to have people vote on the Internet as a referendum to see if we really want to subsidize the losers' mortgages or would we like to at least buy cars and buy houses in foreclosure and give 'em to people that might have a chance to actually prosper down the road and reward people that could carry the water instead of drink the water. This is America! How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor's mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can't pay their bills? Raise their hand.
