Join Quogue Wildlife Refuge Program Director and Avid Birder, Cara Fernandes, on a fascinating journey into the world of woodpeckers and nuthatches that call Long Island home (or at the very least, winter vacation!). Learn about the distinguishing features, behaviors, and habitats of woodpeckers and nuthatches in this slideshow presentation. *Cara Fernandes* is a graduate of Stony Brook University and works at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge as Program Director. Cara enjoys sharing the unique habitats of the Quogue Wildlife Refuge with visitors of all ages.
