North Shore Audubon Society is pleased to present *Exploring Woodpeckers
and Nuthatches of Long Island,* via Zoom on Tuesday, January 23 at 7pm.
Use the following link to pre-register: bit.ly/48KgGCE

Long Island's ecosystems provide a rich habitat for a variety of woodpecker
and nuthatch species, making it an ideal location to explore and learn
about these unique birds. Join Quogue Wildlife Refuge Program Director and
Avid Birder, Cara Fernandes, on a fascinating journey into the world of
woodpeckers and nuthatches that call Long Island home (or at the very
least, winter vacation!). Learn about the distinguishing features,
behaviors, and habitats of woodpeckers and nuthatches in this slideshow
presentation.

*Cara Fernandes* is a graduate of Stony Brook University and works at the
Quogue Wildlife Refuge as Program Director. Cara enjoys sharing the unique
habitats of the Quogue Wildlife Refuge with visitors of all ages. Outside
of her professional capacity, she enjoys traveling and birding in all
seasons,
