I spent yesterday at the Massapequa Preserve in Nassau County Long Island. The highlight was very large flock of pintail ducks. I counted 18 males in breeding plumage. At the distance they were at I could only positively identify the adult males. Also notable were 5 great blue herons and a late kingfisher. -- Sent from Gmail Mobile
