Rothman at Turtle Cove

Highlights: Broad-winged & Sharp-shinned Hawks and Common Raven, but fairly 
quiet today and windy so 1/3 as many sparrows as we've been seeing lately. 

Canada Goose - more than 200
Mallard - not many
Mourning Dove
Killdeer - 9 in parking lot puddle
Laughing Gull - 6
Ring-billed Gull - around 60
Herring Gull - 4
Great Black-backed Gull - 1 first-cycle
Double-crested cormorant - 12
Great Egret - 4
Snowy Egret - 1
Osprey - carrying fish over Lagoon
Sharp-shinned Hawk 
Cooper's Hawk - 2 (adult & juvenile)
Broad-winged Hawk - juvenile, a.k.a. first-cycle over Orchard Beach parking lot 
(Bob)
Red-tailed Hawk - 3 to 5
Belted Kingfisher - male Turtle Cove
Red-bellied Woodpecker - heard
Downy Woodpecker - male Turtle Cove
Hairy Woodpecker - female Turtle Cove
Northern Flicker - Turtle Cove
Monk Parakeet - 2 (Bob)
Eastern Phoebe - Turtle Cove
Blue Jay - 2
American Crow - 5
Common Raven - low & close at Turtle Cove (Brendan)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - Turtle Cove
American Robin - 4
House Finch - male
American Goldfinch - 4 or 5
Chipping Sparrow - several on lawn near parking lot
Field Sparrow - Turtle Cove
Song Sparrow - 5 or 6 Turtle Cove
Swamp Sparrow - 5 Turtle Cove
Red-winged Blackbird - at least 6
Common Grackle - flock of 500 to 600 Turtle Cove
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 2 perched & some flyovers
