FYI yesterday the booby was frequenting the south end of Lake Montauk and was perched on the mast of a boat with a dark blue hull. Views were from the beach at the end of South Lake Drive. When it's roosting at this location one can actually obtain decent photos with a telephoto lens since the bird is much closer to shore than when it's on the Maui or the green marker and one is looking from Star Island Road.
